This beautiful home in the heart of German Village was begging for an upgrade that would express the area's prestige inside the home. We worked alongside the homeowners to make this home fit their needs with beauty and function.
We opened up the kitchen, living room and dining room to allow for a seamless flow from one room to the next. This maximized the natural light that the existing windows were bringing into the home. The brick in the living room was uncovered and cleaned up to expose the beauty of the original cinder. To continue this theme of bringing life to the original character of the home, we refinished the floors, sanding them down to their original pine wood and covering them with a clear varnish. The kitchen was completely updated with custom cabinetry and a small liquor cabinet setup just outside the kitchen in the hallway.
The remodel extended into the second story of the home as well with custom cable handrails up the stairs and custom cabinetry for the home office. The floors were refinished to match the first floor as well. The second story has exposed brick, white walls, natural wood flooring and gray cabinets to match the aesthetic of the first floor. The home has a very cohesive, modern look throughout.
